Accelerator has been proven in its use as a customer contact management solution at the Market Harborough who also use the integration with the Summit desktop applications to deliver simple end-to-end processes for the main customer contact processes of new account creation and account servicing. MHBS also use Accelerator workflows to guide staff through business processes, capturing information and automating document production.
Since implementation of those systems Rubicon has added further capability in Workflow, Scripts and Rules, which take Accelerator’s business process automation capability to a new level. At Norton Finance (UK) Ltd a mortgage broker and packager, Rubicon has implemented a comprehensive automation of the point of sale for second charge loans from initial customer contact through to issuing of loan agreements. The system has automated the full packaging process to the point of submission of applications to lenders. This solution includes the following capabilities, which together represent a major step forward in that sector:
- Workflow drives the whole process, pushing tasks around the organisation without the need to pass paperwork.
- Scripts run by call centre agents capture customer information in a dynamic fashion, with questions conditional on answers to previous questions.
- Rules for product lending criteria evaluate best fit across the product ranges of a whole panel of lenders.
- Automated credit reports are fetched by integrating with Equifax and Experian in real-time enabling decisions while the customer is still on the phone.
- Agents have a loan discussion screen that lists best fit products for all lenders with supporting calculations so that loans can be agreed all within the initial customer call.
- Further Rules drive the production of loan agreement documents complete with settlement calculations for the individual products.
The principal use of these technologies in this proposed solution surrounds the Mortgage Point of Sale, but the toolset provided can be used to target other business processes where gains can be made in automation. E.g. Rules Assisted product filtering/selection, automation of affordability calculations, possibly to support the agreement in principle process, automation of ID checking, credit searching and score cards to evaluate customer suitability.
