During the 1-day engagement, clients are given an overview of SharePoint features and solution areas, and will share information about their environment, pain points and requirements with Rubicon’s SDPS consultants. Through the Strategy Briefing Session (SBS), clients will learn about the full breadth of the SharePoint product as well as its roadmap.  There will be ample opportunity to examine and discuss how it fits into the client’s vision and business requirements. Led by Rubicon’s SDPS consultants, Clients will design a high-level solution based on their business needs and further gain knowledge on how best to deploy SharePoint in their environment.

The output of the engagement will be a high level report from the Strategic Briefing Session (SBS) detailing:

  • Summary of Clients Business Goals
  • Solutions to Clients Business Challenges
  • Other Information Worker Products to Consider
  • Clients Business Challenges
  • SharePoint Services and Solution Profile
  • Execution Plan
  • Integrate and Extend your WCM Solutions

3-Day SDPS Engagement

During a 3-day Architectural Design Session (ADS), participants dive deeper into client requirements and design a SharePoint solution tailored to the client environment. Conceptual design, logical and physical architectures are created for the solution. The Rubicon SDPS consultant can utilise pre-built demonstrations and videos of solutions in action. All 3-day SDPS engagements begin with the 1-day Strategy Briefing Session (SBS).

The output of the engagement will be as above plus the output of the Architectural Design Session (ADS) detailing:

  • Deployment Challenges
  • High Level Solution Description
  • Solution Requirements
  • Design Considerations (Conceptual, Logical and Physical Architecture)

5-Day SDPS Engagement

In a 5-day engagement participants expand on the 3-day architecture design and a virtual lab session is added to provide the client a hands-on understanding of the solution technologies and capabilities. It includes 2 days of deployment planning for a specific SharePoint capability. It is mainly designed to provide deep guidance on specific SharePoint solution capabilities that provide value within the client’s environment including assisting clients in creating a plan and best practices for deployment on how SharePoint would fit in the client’s environment; gaining knowledge on the best practices for Information Architecture, Process Architecture, Document Management, Governance, Site Planning and Management; and understanding the ways to optimize SharePoint for better performance and capacity.

The output of the engagement will be as above plus an initial 2 days of deployment and customisation.

10-Day SDPS Engagement

A 10-day SDPS engagement will consist of a 3-day ADS to understand the client’s scenario and introduce technologies, solutions, and concepts. In addition, it includes 2 days of deployment planning for a specific SharePoint capability. This is immediately followed by a 5-day proof of concept project to demonstrate the solution in the client’s environment. The engagement will mitigate or help eliminate any risk that the clients have in regards to SharePoint through a hands-on application. Clients will select one of the specific capabilities for the pilot project, and will provide a specific implementation of proof points using Microsoft applications and the client’s hardware and/or software environment.

The output of the engagement will be as above for the SBS and ADS plus an agreed Proof of Concept (POC).

15-Day SDPS Engagement

A 15-day SDPS engagement will consist of a 3-day ADS to understand client scenarios and introduce technologies, solutions, and concepts. In addition, it includes 2 days of deployment planning for a specific SharePoint capability. This is followed by a 10-day Proof of Concept (POC) project to demonstrate the solution in the client’s environment. The engagement will mitigate or help eliminate any risk that the clients have in regards to SharePoint through a hands-on application. Clients will select one of the specific capabilities for a pilot and provide a specific implementation of proof points using Microsoft applications and their hardware and/or software environment.

The output of the engagement will be:

  • Full Proof Of Concept (POC)
